Managing Company Smart Phones – Mobile Device Management (MDM)

The situation

The organisation had many different models and brand of phones, all on different phone plans. Staff were having various issues with their phones and because each phone was different, it became difficult to provide fast solutions to phone problems that they encountered. Phones weren’t working, staff weren’t happy and clients were upset at calls being missed due to phone issues.

The target

Reliable mobile phones, of a similar model/brand and to be centrally managed.

The action

Slowly transition all phones to Apple iPhone SE handsets that are centrally managed with Mobile Device Management (MDM) to easily update phones, and install apps remotely. 

The result

Staff have reliable, easy to use phones that are easy to support. When new apps are needed on the (~30) phones, they can simply be pushed to them through the MDM system remotely.
